I know there's some fellow goober pea eaters out there. I just scarfed down a bag full my old man made this past weekend. Anybody got a good recipe to share? Looking for something a little different than the "cajun" take on it... I got that covered haha. Go!

look up "Frog Bone". Its a shrimp boil mix that I love for shrimp/crab boils. Just recently tried on some boiled peanuts and it was great.

Fond childhood memories of my uncle making these as a kid. Haven't had them in 20 years at least. He spent some time in Charleston and brought them north of the mason-dixon line. Good stuff. I'm gonna have to figure out how to do them.

Can’t help you on a recipe but feel free to share your go to Cajun recipe. I’ve tried a couple off the internet and they were just meh

Boiled peanuts are manna from God.

Salt. There. What more do you need to know?

I guess you can try and church em up by putting all kinds of weird stuff in the water besides salt, but why bother?

Don't try and church it up son, don't ya mean Joe Dirt?

I know this is the real answer. I'm just wondering if I'm missing out on something. Cajun is slang for "pile of salt with cayenne pepper" in regards to boiled peanuts. I'm sure it's all the same.

I’ve made em in the crockpot with some Goya ham flavored seasoning and they were delicious.

Lots of salt and boiling water. What else would one need?

It sounds like the folks who know what they're doing when it comes to boiled peanuts have spoken.

I bend the knee. I'll save the fancy stuff for different fare.

Just good Ol Salt!
