I got to see some new broadheads in the broad head test kit @Red Beard is sending around. I think @ericabbott put the bone broadhead in the kit but I was wondering if any of y’all use these and would recommend them for a compound and/or for a recurve? I think they look pretty sweet. Simple and hopefully effective.A81F0E59-3839-4612-85A7-CDBD18A1D7AE.png

They are out of stock on all sizes all bevels.

They look good though. Wish there was more detail on their carbon steel.

I’ve seen pictures of them pretty chewed up after one animal harvest. From what I’ve seen of them I would not be consider them.

I gotcha, I hadn’t actually looked at the specs on them yet, I just saw that they looked cool. Are they using a softer steel or something?

I have to assume so. Ranch Fairy sent me a couple pics of one head and it was pretty rough.

when you say chewed up did they look chipped or bent/mangled?
if its chipped they are probably too hard but not strong enough steel. not "bone" brand but somewhat relatable - Grizzly heads chip like crazy. i think im done with that brand. it might just be the area i hunt but 1 shot with an alaskan and it was destroyed beyond repairable (u live in "not alabama":tonguewink: so maybe softer ground=less worries). i bet ive gone through 10 of them last season. they kill the crap out of deer but so do cheaper ones. Might be going back to Magnus for the warranty/affordability. I wish they made 200 gn heads.

The edges were missing a lot of metal.
