So I picked up the 3 Eberhart books, and Mapping Trophy Bucks. Loads of good information in all of them. Any other recommendations of some good hunting books?

For hunting strategy, “Taking Trophy Whitetails (On Target)” by Bob Fratzke is an oldie but a goodie.

For non-hunting-strategy (but hunting focused) books, I’d recommend:
1. “Meat Eater: Adventures from the Life of an American Hunter” and “American Buffalo: In Search of a Lost Icon” by Steven Rinella. (Those are better than his “The Scavenger’s Guide” book, but that one is a good read, too.)
2. “That Wild Country” by Mark Kenyon

@GWHGoat - Three sources for what to do after you let loose an arrow. Sounds like you already have #3...

1. Tracking wounded deer - How to find and tag deer shot with bow or gun, by Richard P. Smith

2. Blood in motion - a forensic guide to blood tracking, by Jerry Allen

3. Bowhunting pressured whitetails - (See Chapter 15, entitled "Recovering Bow-Shot Whitetails"), by John & Chris Eberhart
