Hey guys, in need of a new pair of boots for the season. I have worn Irish Setter Rutmasters for probably the past 5 years. Held up well and were a pretty reliable boot for me. But they are the older version, all rubber, stiff uppers. Looking for something that provides some more maneuverability as I do plan on at least trying some one sticking. If I like it and all goes well, would probably be my go to choice in most situations. Looking for a lite rubber/neoprene boot either in insulated or light insulation. Probably 400 grams max. Leaning towards the Lacrosse Aerohead Sport in 3.5mm. I had a pair all but ordered today on a site but the coupon code wouldn’t work for Lacrosse. Plan is to keep a close watch and try to get at least a few bucks off. In the meantime I’d like to try a few different ones on but unable to do that this week because I’m quarantined. Does Lacrosse have sales regularly or is it like a once or twice a year deal? Thank you,
Matt

when it was time to replace my old pair of lacrosse alpha burly sports, I tried everything that I could in stores and the one that fit my foot the best was the aerohead sport 3.5mm, they also felt more comfortable in the cushioning. I am on my last pair of the old style alpha burly sports, and they have a crack in them on the back but I made it through last season that way and hope to make it this year as well. I just love how they hug my foot and don't feel loose like mucks and others feel.

Does anyone know if Lacrosse has sales regularly? They did tell me they offer 10% to veterans. Wondering if I should hold out or just buy the Aerohead Sports 3.5mm with the 10% off and call it a day. Thanks,
Matt

Well, I looked all day and was even on Midway several times today and checked back again this evening and they had the Lacrosse Aerohead Sport 3.5mm And it said to add to cart for special price. I did this earlier and the price still remained $179. Kind of pissed me off. So I did it again this evening and rang up $117. That just made my decision easier. Free shipping to boot. No pun intended. Lol

I have used many name brand rubber boots over the years. I bought a pair of TideWe boots and they are the best. They are the lightest and most durable rubber/neoprene boot I’ve ever owned and the traction is awesome. They are 400 grams also give them a look.

I did stumble across them in my search but they are out of stock on their website and amazon. I emailed them to see when they would be back in stock and according to them they should be by now but still aren’t.

Hey I had the lacrosse aero sports as well. I didn’t want to drop that much money on another pair after a year and a half the first pair the buckle broke after 2 months so they sent me a new pair and they lasted a year and a half before leaking. I also bought tidwe not expecting a lot and I found them to be extremely comfortable and lightweight. I love mine more than I did the lacrosse. I wouldn’t hesitate again to buy another pair and will when the time comes

Check out gumleaf USA boots. John Eberhart speaks highly of them. UK made. Use code. Bowhunt and get 10% off.

Haven't had a chance to put them through their paces yet but, I second Gumleaf. They are very comfortable and the fit is really good. I placed the order Tuesday and they arrived yesterday. They are a little pricey but, even if they only last me a couple of years they will be worth it.....I tend to go through boots every year so that adds up.

I think it depends on your foot size. It seems like the unusually big and unusually small sizes were on clearance. I have size 8 feet and got a pair for around $83.

I have a set of Tingley boots with yoder chaps on the way. You can get muck boots on the bottom as well. For 120 bucks I have some sweet hip boots for hunting that also happen to be briar proof. There are some good reviews on youtube.

Got a pair of The Royal Zip! Very comfortable! The left boot zipper was a little stiff.. has loosened up...
put 5 miles on them.. very satisfied!

Tried One-Sticking today.. less of a challenge than I expected... Love these boots!

I've given up on lacrosse knee high rubbers. They were my only boot for years and years. I had one pair that lasted ten years and I put them thru hell. Finally retired them because all the tread was gone.
My last three pair can't get thru one season.
I got a pair of gum leaf uninsulated knee highs. We will see how they hold up.

I have put less than 10 miles on my Gumleaf Royal Zip Boots but must say how comfortable they are. I wasn't sure when I first tried them on because I did not feel much cushion. However, after a few trips in the woods, and no aches or pains, I have high hopes..

I second Tingley’s- they are a great value and very comfortable.

I love my Tingleys with the yoder hip waders. They feel like they are less weight than the air itself... if that makes sense.:D
My Gumleaf's just arrived today, can't wait. My Mucks just have not been cutting it with all the walking I do now a days.

TideWe boots are awesome and cheaper than any other rubber/neoprene. The rubber is softer and more flexible.
