I'm finding I have an interesting dilemma.
During the first 29.8 hours of my hunts this year, I couldn't wait to switch to my gun as there were several opportunities that I couldn't take with my bow. Now that I got one, however, I'm debating whether to stick with my bow the remainder of the year.
I really enjoyed everything about the bow hunt, the frustrations, missed opportunities and success. I enjoyed it far more than I ever did hunting with a gun. However, I also know I'll be kicking myself the rest of the season if I miss "that buck" because he's out of range. Having (2) tags left, I'm leaning towards getting a gun and archery tag, getting the sure thing with the gun and finishing out with the bow but it's also now kinda feels like cheating.
