Bow Sights, Whatcha Got?

What bow sight is everyone using and why? I'll start.
I'm using a G5 Optix xr2, I strayed away from it for a couple years to ride on the single pin train. The Single pin sight I shot was the Truglo Archers Choice range Rover. I enjoyed target shooting with that sight just not that much when it came to hunting. So I went back to the G5, It's a 2 pin with one fixed and the other is a floater. Now this is just my opinion but I think It's the best of both worlds. My top pin is sighted for 20yds and I have the floater at 30 when all the way adjusted up. It can be dropped with the turn of the dial to shoot from 30 out to 80+ yards.
 
HHA optimizer lite 1 pin adjustable, usually left at middle position between 20 and 30 yards (which should be a hair over 25 yards). That G5 looks interesting because I'm thinking of going to a 2 pin (25 and 40 yard pins most likely). I'm not sure of all the stuff going on in the sight picture under the bottom pin though. (just looked, I don't think they make that G5 sight anymore)

HHA single pin slider on my primary bow and a Copper John Mark IV single pin slider on my back up. Even though these sights are both sliders I don't use them as such for my bowhunting. I sight it in by adjusting the sight to hit my shots at or a bit above my point of aim at 5 yards or if you went the heavier arrow route, the upper one-third of a 6 to 8" diameter vital zone of a deer. I then back up, still aiming at the "elbow" of the deer and find the maximum distance where my arrows are dropping into the lower one-third of the kill zone of deer sized animal 6-8" diameter kill zone. I'm good from about 0 to 26 yards with this set up. I did purchase and EZV and sighted it in for my primary bow and hunted with it at the beginning of the season but I should have started using it earlier then I did and I just lost my confidence with it. I am going to switch back to it after this season is over. I bought one of those Rhinhart pitch ball targets that are perfectly the size of a Whitetail kill zone and I'm going to toss that around the range and shoot at it with EZV to get my confidence up with it. I have used my trusty single pin system for two decades and it is hard to beat. I am just so comfortable with this "point and pull" type sighting system. If you are looking for a robust, all SS hardware slider type sight either multi pin or single pin, check out the Viper line of bowsights. They also make a great "D" loop tool btw. These are made in Ohio and what I think I would like about them is that the elevation adjustment system on them sits in front of the mounting bracket. So you get your elevation adjustment in a sturdy system up front by the sight pin housing and not all the way back along the entire length of the sight mounting bracket. This prevents you from having to mount your bow quiver attachment with those annoying spacers!!! If I were in the market for a new sight I would strongly consider one of their sights. Sword Sights (who also make the Tree Limb Quivers) also seem well made. I have a thing for bowsights. I also have a Trophy Ridge Alpha Slider on sale in the classifieds too. I used it once during spring turkey season and liked it a lot but don't need it just sitting around either.

@raisins That pivot arm really doesn't bother me, maybe cause it angles down and away from the pins? Yeah I cant find it for sale anywhere. The next closest sight I think is the Trophy Ridge Hotwire. It looks very intriguing and something I would get if anything happens to the G5.
 
I have an old Axcel Armortech HD that I have removed 3 of the 4 pins from. I sighted in at 27ish (because no one is good enough to know a 27 yd pin vs a 28 yd pin ‘cept DaleB1 (if you know, you know) and shoot it out to 35. If they are farther away then they win. I salute them and move on.
 
Trophy Ridge react H4. I strictly hunt for whitetail and I couldn't be happier with this sight. The react tech is everything they say it is and for $100 bucks you can't beat it
 
I’ve had the Spot Hogg Fast Eddie XL 3 pin for a couple years now and I’m not diggin it. I’ll be going back to a 5 pin fixed for next year. I don’t like the way Spot Hogg does their micro adjust for the pins. They don’t make the Bulletproof sight I used in my Elite. Might end up going with Black Gold for next year. Orrrrrr maybe just going with a recurve. Idk yet
 
My bow came with a cheapo 3 pin RTH package. I didn't like the crowded sight picture. Switched to a single pin slider and it was better but at further distance when the pin covered up my aiming point I'd get target panic. Switched to an ezv and that is what I using from here on out. Unobstructed view of the target helped with target panic and I just enjoy shooting with that sight more. No worry about a twig getting stuck in the housing and bending pins.
 
I'm currently using an HHA Optimizer Lite. I prefer shooting with my Buck Rub Gear Carbon Optimizer, but it resonates when I shoot and makes my bow sound considerably louder than normal.
 
I shoot Black Gold 3 pin slider. Don’t pay the extra money for the dove tail, you don’t need it.

Sight in at 20, 30, and 40. That’s all you need for bow hunting IMO. I use the bottom pin as a slider to practice out to 100, but have never turned the dial in a hunting situation. 3 axis of adjustment. Beefy. Micro-pin adjust.They’ll custom make whatever you want also. If you want a 2-pin slider just tell them and they’ll make it. I called when I had an issue getting enough adjustment, they told me how to fix it, stayed with me on the phone until it was fixed. Good customer service. I just have nothing bad to say about Black Gold. I’m sure Fast Eddie is great as well. Never tried one.
