Get yourself a press, I use a portable one, and make a draw board.
Then absorb yourself in the tons of info on the internet.
It’s much more satisfying when you know the arrow is going to “drop right behind the pin” when you have done the work yourself. No shop will care as much about your arrow flight than you will.
I am pretty much an Elite/Bowtech kind of guy. They are stupid easy to tune.
Just make a single adjustment at a time, and write down what it was before you test it. If it doesn’t work, adjust back to the baseline.

With all the free information out there I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a class if I'm only working on my own bow. The closest shop I trust is a good hour away from me and after some practice I know I can tune my bow better than a shop could. One difference for me is that I have access to a an archery range that provides the press I can't yet afford.

Knowledge gained by experience and a passion for what you are trying to accomplish is invaluable! Bow tuning is neither as difficult nor as easy as it is often made to seem. I say this with 15 years experience of archery tuning (various concepts dependent on what "needs" to be accomplished) at a professional level. I refuse to name names, but I have fixed "training wheel stage" mistakes from almost all of the areas bow "pro" shops... Some people do not want to pay for the time required to fully optimize their setup, and I'm not judging, but you can't compare a $50 tune to a $500 tune with matched arrows (selected and built for the customers performance goal) and a quality string and cable set.
