Buried bait sets for coyotes

Nice work @SNIPERBBB, the hay set works similarly and you don't have to really monkey with digging in frozen ground to bed the trap. May not attract as many possums but they're good to clean out of there as well. Nice video.

Yep. If you have access to free/cheap hay it works great. Ive used soy or corn chaff as well

Nice video, thanks for posting.

These days, I ALMOST never use bait at a coyote set, bait just attracts too many animals I'd rather not deal with.

I wish we could use cable restraints in our state. There’s something about blind set trapping that is so appealing to me. I love setting a mink water line for that very reason. I see so many places I could place a snare where a coyote or a fox walks through it would be a great delight!!!

You can always do the mafia set, two traps set on trail so they're almost touching with a dropping in the gap between the two traps.

Do love my snares but if I had to use them under restraint laws for coyotes I wouldn't even bother as you'd lose as many coyotes as you keep.

Flat sets and scent posts in the right location are very effective.
