Anybody know if Bushnell is ok for binos?

I’ve always needed 10x42 binos for deer hunting but never found a deal good enough to pull the trigger but now bass pro has Bushnells on sale for 50. Anybody have experience to say if they are junk or not?

If they are ok then I’m in,but if they are junk I’ll just spring for vortex I guess.

Yes I’ve got a pair I’ve had for years love them for the woods I hunt in

I think it really depends on which model you get, there is a huge range in Bushnell optics. I have some of their Binos I love, but my buddy’s cheaper ones are less than ideal. If I could pony up for vortex I would. (And I will myself someday)

Plus, you just can’t beat the vortex warranty

What he said.

I had a set of 10x42's I got a Wally world, worked good for a year but they are not very durable in my opinion.. I junked em after I got moisture on the inside

Don't skimp on glass, boots, weapons, ammo, or life support items! You get what you pay for in these areas.

Keep your nose to the wind, and your eyes along the skyline.

I have had the same Bushnell Bino`s for some time now. I think they were around 200 at bass pro shops when I bought them. Work well and no issues. Not the best optics but still very good for that price. Not sure of the model. I also had a Bushnell Scout rangefinder which was just ok. It worked but again the optics were not the best. That unit fogged up and is useless now . I replaced that with a Bushnell GForce and wow. Bushnell finally has some great optics. I did a video review and called the optics "graphics" in error . Its the optics I was really talking about. Very impressed .

It really, really depends on what line you are getting. Remember, Bushnell optics are made oversea based on specs they provide the manufacturer. Does not mean they are bad, just that there can be significant variance between different models/lines.

For example, I purchased a pair of Legend M Series 8x42 that I think are fantastic. Very solid glass and build. But they were a little less than $200. At the time I thought it was such a good deal (still do) that I picked up a small pair of Trophy 10x28 binos for less than $40, just for keeping in the truck. They are just ok.

Point is, for the most part, you do get what you pay for. Everyones standards are different, but I seriously doubt you can get good glass for $50, even on sale. Binoculars are without doubt the most important optics you use, more so than your scope or range finder IMO, so plan on spending as much as you can for them.
