Buying scentlok

In Manitoba we have a great service called Pembina parcel just on the US side of the border. You apply for an account with them. Ship everything to their address and they notify you when it has arrived and will hold it for up to 1 year. There is a small fee for their part but it far out weights the price difference when getting 50 to 75% off. The border is only an hour away from me so that makes a bit of a difference. I like to buy local but now that cabelas has fun everyone in MB out of business there just isn't the options. I don't know how cabelas Canada and cabelas USA can be so different in what clothing and equipment they offer. Cabelas Canada is not a true outdoor store. It's very disappointing actually

What time of year does scentlok go on sale the biggest? I was looking for the savanah quick strike coveralls to go for less than $100. They’re 130 or so now? Will they drop any more throughout the year?

I’ve seen them for 99 but 130 isn’t bad at all. I don’t know what size you wear. If your a small or medium you can some really good deals. I’m a 2x and they are usually sold out of my size by the time they hit rock bottom pricing.

I’m a large. Yeah I thought I had seen them for 70 last summer but that might have been the non hooded one.

I'm a large and can never find my size on sale its frustrating! I've been trying to add a base layer to my gear and have all but given up lol. My only score so far has been a random mid season sale at ****s when i was up in PA and i think i just got lucky and was able to find my sizes.

I wouldn't buy scentlok at ****s. It just sits out in the open on the rack for who knows how long. When I buy it direct from scentlok or on amazon they come in a sealed plastic bag. I was thinking about that when I walked by the scentlok sale at ****s over xmas time.

Good point, I wouldn't buy from ****s if they had it in stock, lol, I did re-activate it all when I got it so hopefully that took care of it, but you never get it 100% which is why the stuff doesn't last forever. Oh well

Did the hunting industry figure out not to put stuff on sale this year? Or is it still early yet?

I see a lot of posts on here with people complaining about the price of scentlok. I completely agree on their full prices. NEVER buy scentlok at full price. You can search their weekly deals, sign up for their email offers and buy it at the end of season and in the offseason. I rarely pay more than 1/2 price for any articles of their clothing.

I agree fully. Scentlok prices are fairly high relative to comparable products from lesser known brands. I had been wanting their Savanna Reign jacket and pants because for a long time because I hunt in Georgia where it can stay in the 80’s until November, but the $139 per piece price point was simply out of my budget. So, I got on their e-mail list and, in March 2020, received notice that the jacket and pants were on sale for $68 per. I ordered without hesitation because, even used on ebay, each was going for ~$100. That being said, I got pants and jacket for $160, and I can’t wait to get blood on em.

I got the wind brace stuff. It seems pretty decent. Who knows, maybe the carbon lining will make a difference.
