Camofire MR sale right now. Pop28 $197!!!

How are y’all carrying warming layers in this pack? I’ve got a down jacket, my heavier hunting jacket in here and it’s basically full. Any way to attach my bibs to the outside?

Not much room in the 28 for outer layers. I use the meat shelf as necessary.

Here are some possible options for lashing:

I really like the blaze stick it on my pack. It helps with visibility and I can stuff a vest or a jacket into for quick on and off without having to really get into anything.

How long are people typically seeing for shipping? Ordered mine on the 27th but did the combined shipping… if I remember they typically used to ship on Tuesdays?

I just received my Pop Up 38 in the mail yesterday. It’s just about perfect for my needs. Plenty of space for cold weather clothing, but not too big. I’m on the taller side so the pop up feature provides some functional load lifters for a nice change. Hip belt is much more comfortable than my Horn Hunter pack.

Because of the torso adjustment, it's the only pack that I have ever had that I don't have to drop immediately. That back pad on my 38 fits my lumbar curve great.

I got my 38 in today and I’m excited to see what it can do. Seems to be a nice build quality.

Got my 28 yesterday. Seems extremely well made compared to my eberlestock x2. Which is still a great pack.

I’m still on the fence on how I’m going to pack everything in it, I’m a saddle/ treestand hunter. So I don’t always need to pack a platform.

Also is the waist belt ever an issue in the tree for anyone? It seems somewhat cumbersome when hanging.

Unless its a really large tree, I just buckle it on the tree. Good thing about the large belt is that it can act as a knee pad! I dont plan to carry one anymore and just rest my knee against the pad.

I loaded up about 35 pounds in it yesterday and did a one hour rucking session. The difference in comfort was amazing. Didn’t know what I had been missing. I packed out a small buck last week on National Forest with my old pack, and my hips were killing me all the way down the mountain. I wish I had tried a mystery ranch sooner.

Nice job.

For even more comfort under load, I still suggest changing out the pop-up hip belt.

Are you going to run it with the M7?

Something else.

I've swapped in a Seek Outside belt. It's pricy for what it is, but so far it's worked really well for me.

I have an Exo belt to try also, but I'll fool with that after this season ends. Others on Rokslide have done this swap and really like it and @kyler1945 swears by the Exo belt (but has gone to an all Exo system.)

On it's own, I kind of like my Kifaru Duplex belt best. Though, I have heard it won't slide through the newer Popoup lumbar slip so I'm hesitant to try that, but curiosity killed the cat so who knows.

The Seek Outside belt is the trimmest of these and that seems to fit the personalty of this pack. But the Kifaru and Exo belts double as ok makeshift knee pads (they seem to use the same density foam). I used my Kifaru belt that way on the Duplex Lite frame in Maryland and it was nice to have an option to sit and relax now and again without packing a separate knee rest or pads.

Anyway, maybe the Popup belt works best for you. I didn't like it at all.

The Duplex belt will fit through the the new lumbar pad but, takes a little effort. I was also able to remove it. You will just have to figure out how to deal with the wings on the new pack. The old packs had pals webbing directly on the wings so you can attach them to the pals webbing on the Duplex belt.

Is there a belt that’s more low profile? There only thing I dislike so far about my pop up 28 is how large and in charge the belt seems to be when not in use. I sometimes hunt climbers, hang ons, saddles, ground hunt. So I don’t always need it to carry a huge load.

I’m just not a fan of those plastic wings on the sides. But the belt seems fine for me so far
