Can we meet up?

I’m not announcing a meet up or anything but asking a question. Would it be beneficial for us as a group to have threads for states or regions? We can arrange meet ups or times to meet and shoot for fun, maybe even talk about what the game we are chasing is doing at current times.
We are a community of what I believe is like minded people and being able to have people that share the same interest as ourselves nearby could be a great way to expand knowledge and experience.
Just a thought, I hope all is well with everyone!

There are many new members from NC on the forum here. Nothing wrong with meeting up for those who are interested. @Bwhana did a great job organizing a meet early in the spring with vendor supply and food. Doesn’t have to be that fancy all the time. Maybe just setting a date and time at a good public hunting spot. Could be used for scouting, fellowship, gear talk or friendly archery competition (where allowed). Maybe at a time when the temperatures are not in the mid to high 90s with 90% humidity.

I would love to just meet up and scout/ shoot. Between poachers and the property next to mine being developed public land my be my only option this year and I’ve never hunted public land. I’m looking at maps online as much as possible for public land but I can find many parking areas. Maybe I should just plan on packing out whatever I kill ‍♂️

I think regional threads would divide us and we would lose out on the broader community dialogue. You can always set up a thread for a specific meet up or a specific regional topic.

I’ve seen it in other forums. If there were a northeast section I would favor it, and then you poor saps from other regions would lose out on all of my wit and patriotism and I just can’t allow that. You deserve better

Alabama had 2 get-togethers earlier this year that I know of. One that @gcr0003 put together up around huntsville and one I organized down here around mobile. I think they both went well. I have a video of me, @denots, and @swampsnyper cutting up around a campfire that is one of my most cherished digital files...

Meetups are fun. I had a great time up at saddlepalooza the year before last, but the smaller getups are nice because you meet the locals and have more time to get to know everybody. I didn't talk to a quarter of the folks at saddlepalooza. Just not enough time.

Yep I'm regretting not going to them, hopefully it's an annual meetup.
