My wife and I can quite a bit. Stew, broth, vegetables, sauce, fruits, basically anything. My question is this. For those of you canning venison. How many quarts would you say to can an entire deer? 6 dozen? More? Just looking to see if I need to buy some jars.

Probably just raw pack. And that gives me an idea. We have plenty of jars, but maybe not enough to do an entire deer.

I meant raw pack. That’s all I’ve done. I’ve always used wide mouth pints in the past. Also I was having a brain fart last night. A quart is only two pints so that wouldn’t be too big. I think for my uses 24oz wide mouth would probably be about as perfect a size as I could get.
