Just had a chance to shoot my new Cari-Bow Taiga EX Recurve. This is new limb design by Abe that has static tips. To say I'm impressed is an under statement. Anyway two quick videos about bow and some first shots.

Nice looking bow Dave and wow can you shoot it. Any chance we can see the profile of the bow drawn? What advantage does the static tip provide? What's the bow length?

I'LL try to post some pics tomorrow. The bow is 62" and draws 54# @ 28 inches.... I draw it a little over 27. The static tips don't bend and thus the draw is smooth and non stacking for shorter bow lenght. It is also quiter and quicker. I think it adds 3-5 fps. The two additional bows I have on order will be 60 inches. My one piece Tuktu is 58 and it has no stacking out to 28.

Awesome Dave! Always exciting when that new package arrives! I'd like to see a full draw profile as well. Thanks

I'm definitely intrigued. I've been considering upgrading this year to Toelke Super Static. What is going rate on a Caribow Tiaga?

I gave 950 I think for this stock bow. I am having a custom one built right now, along with a matching Silver Fox - both of those will run a little over a grand a piece. I've heard good things about Toelke as well.

I knew caribow was expensive, but they look awesome. Dave if you have that kind of money to spend on bows, have you looked at Border archery? I hear a covert hunter calling your name.

Ive heard some good things about border.... Esp in performance. But, I've heard they are also loud? Cant imagine i will ever come close to maximizing what these Carbows can do.... I am the weakest link :). I really like Abe a lot so Ill probably stay with him. I've still got a JD Berry brand new Tiapan that I haven't even sit yet and two more Caribows on order..... That will probably keep me busy fit a couple years :)

Id love to shoot a border at some point though

IF you shoot a new hex limb, you wont shoot anything else again. Well I say that as a guy with a long draw. With your 27" draw, nothing probably stacks.
Check out the CH that JP has.

Awesome post. I have a few Samicks I bought to work with this off season. I will eventually upgrade if I find this is for me.

I may lean on you for some more knowledge.

I'm with you I bought a samick journey with a set of 35 and 50 lb limbs. I've had it about a month and try to shoot at least 20 arrows a day. I'm shooting instinctive and some days I can't miss and then there's other days I can't hit the broad side of a barn. I'm not giving up though, I'm going to kill deer with it during next season.
