If any of y’all are using the cranford rope steps, how are y’all carrying them? I’ve tried a fanny pack and that works okay but I’m curious if there’s a better way
Boom. Love it.After a few hours of thinking I may have found my method of carrying them. I daisy chained the ropes and then looped it back onto the step. When you fold them they slide right over the top of the sit drag. Only issue I see is the steps making noise if they bump into each other, so I may use the speedy stitcher to attach some larger molle loops somewhere on the sit drag and slide them into those to keep them separated from each other. That’s a good idea but it’s not for me. I’m already putting on two drop pouches on my sit drag for my lineman’s belt and tether. Do you have any issues with the ropes tangling in the bag or when you take them out?

Well I was inspired by the ideas here and mocked this up
This particular bag can carry 6 cranfords. Enough room inside for ring of steps, and lots more. Might even put a doyles hoist in there.
Might play with different rope management techniques.
With some effort they can clink but it’s not bad at all. Have to slide in and out carefully to not clink, or to make too mich noise rubbing on the cloth.
I tried it on my sitdrag too, and my loops are big enough but the material is a bit louder. Could get better with wear. Maybe we’ll see.

Yeah, that would be next.Have you tried stealth strips or camo tape on them?
Do you have a link to that bag? I cant find it on the Duluth site.I use a small Duluth Tradiing Co shaving bag. It works perfectly for them I think.

I messed up by making my molle loops too small on my sit drag so I had to do a series of larger loops underneath the original ones. I had the same issue with noisy material and stealth strips really made a differenceWell I was inspired by the ideas here and mocked this up

What bag is that? Looks perfect for me. I ended up sewing 3 molle loops on each side beneath my original molle loops and it works fine, but if I’m carrying more than my usual 6 that pack may be betterWell I was inspired by the ideas here and mocked this up
