I’ve had more deer spook at the base of my tree than shot opportunities on the way in. I prefer not to set my pack on the ground at the base of the tree. I did it last weekend after my Doyle’s broke to put my rifle on my pack. No deer came that close but a raccoon picked up on the scent and climbed a nearby tree. I generally hand carry my weapon also but I don’t need to be ready to shoot 100% of the time. If you don’t have time to set sticks down before shooting the jig was up anyway. So how do you guys carry on your climbing sticks. Trying to figure out a way of slinging them on my back or attach them to my backpack. Really don't want to carry them in my hand want to be ready to shoot at all times coming in.
Perfect posture!!
