So how do you guys carry on your climbing sticks. Trying to figure out a way of slinging them on my back or attach them to my backpack. Really don't want to carry them in my hand want to be ready to shoot at all times coming in.

I have a Horn Hunter G2 pack. My sticks are cut down LWs with DIY double steps. I’ve strapped them 2 to a side but have recently been carrying them in slung over my shoulder using a @ckossuth made versa strap. The versa strap then doubles as my bottom stick strap. I also Nite-ize gear tie my Predator to the sticks. I just became the proud owner of a new X2 pack but haven’t had a chance to use it yet. The plan is to carry them in the “wings” on the side of that pack, with the Predator on the back.

I strap my sticks to my pack. Next year I am thinking about strapping my bow to my pack and carrying my sticks...

That way I can just get to the tree and start climbing instead of unpacking all my crap.

I’ve had more deer spook at the base of my tree than shot opportunities on the way in. I prefer not to set my pack on the ground at the base of the tree. I did it last weekend after my Doyle’s broke to put my rifle on my pack. No deer came that close but a raccoon picked up on the scent and climbed a nearby tree. I generally hand carry my weapon also but I don’t need to be ready to shoot 100% of the time. If you don’t have time to set sticks down before shooting the jig was up anyway.

With my JX3 Hybrid if I one stick climb I put the stick between the seats and go. If I carry all three sticks I use my tether as a carry strap. I clip the carabiner to a piece of paracord that I have on one end of the stick and just run the loop end under the tree bracket on the other end.

As many said before, attached to the side of my pack. My pack just happens to have straps on the side of to that work great for holding my one stick and predator platform.

I had a duffel shoulder strap with a slid-able pad that I put some nite eyez twistys on each end that I tie around the top stick tree cleats and sling them over my head and shoulder and they lay against my pack. I found this better than strapping to my pack. Set them on the ground, undo the twistys, put the strap in accessory sys hauler on my right side, connect my bow rope and start climbing with my pack on my back and predator hanging by an s biner on the back of my saddle and a stick hanging from each side.

I strap this to the outside of my Rogue Pack using compression straps already on the pack. 4 Sticks ,3 aiders, XOP DIY platform and ratcheting strap. The trick for me was securing everything before attaching it to my pack . Nice tidyIMG_9236.JPG
package that will work on just about any pack.
