I currently use a single step, carry as you go aider. It works just fine but it’s slow to move it every time. Is the new versa aider method that much faster or should I just put a single step on each of my Hawk sticks to make it faster.

I use a modified swaider with a loop as a “Versa aider” and I highly recommend it

I know it’s not cool to not DIY everything, but Backwoods Mobile Gear sells a versa aider that looks pretty cool. I’ve watched some videos on it. They will custom make the aider to whatever length you want. At the least, you can check it out and DIY your own based on theirs.

@MathewsMan7 I was referring to either the Backwoods one or the Custom Amsteel Products Daisy aider. I think it's worth a shot to try it.

My preference is the versa aider. The aider is always on your foot so you don’t have to fish your boots in it.On the way down in the dark that makes a big difference!Just my two cents.

Any of you guys run yours with the Muddy Pro sticks? If I was interested in this method and run the Muddy’s I guess I’d just have to get a big enough continuous loop to fit over both steps because they don’t have a button on the front? Or I could install a button on the stick myself, I guess.

I'm considering not using it with my versa button but rather get it long enough to hook on one of the top steps. I still have the factory plastic Hawk buttons on my heliums and I just don't trust putting more pressure on them in addition to the straps.
