Hi everybody, I’ve been hunting from hangers, ladder stands, and ground blinds for 20+ years. Last year my cousin started hunting from a saddle and had some success, this was the first I’d ever heard of them and the more I look into it a saddle seems like something I want to try. The DIY aspect of it has me the most intrigued as I really like digging into things and learning everything about them. Looking forward to getting some guidance from all the minds on this forum.

Welcome from Texas. Once you start digging through these pages you'll realize the DIY aspect is endless and lots of people have put a great deal of thought into this and if you pay attention it saves you a ton of headaches and time. Good luck!

Yes, I need to go see if my wife’s sewing machine is heavy duty enough. Lots of research coming up from previous posts.

Welcome from Iowa. This method of hunting certainly allows you to dive deep into DIY if you want.

Welcome, I'm down by Carlyle Lake, look on the saddle hunter map. Should have guys near you that would let you check some saddle out before you start buying.
