Cobra Update!
We went a few rounds with adjustments to the panel and landed on adding a slight "flare" to the last 5 inches of each side, further reducing any potential hip pressure. We think that will make a difference!

Orders start on the 15th of February! Price is $225.

We want you to have all of the details to help you make an informed decision when considering a Cobra purchase so here is a long list of facts, features and observations from others:

Facts
1. Our saddles are 3rd party tested by a certified independent lab in accordance with ASTM F2337-21 standards.

2. In line with those standards, The Cobra Saddle sustained a peak Force weight of 741lbs with a 220lbs dummy. This is an awesome number. For a frame of reference, failing criteria is 1800lbs (that number is set by OSHA). Average for fall arrest systems is around 1200lbs. The Cobra Saddle passed all criteria...with the same saddle. Our test data is available to you upon request via email.

3. Our test saddles where stock. No build ups.

4. We make every saddle in house and use Berry Compiant materials as often as possible. This allows a lot of freedom in materials, colors and mods. Want large molle loops? No molle? Gear hangers? Just leave a note.

5. We will make 6 Cobra saddles available each week. Why so few? Capacity and cost. We make everything in house. Manufacturing costs drive up saddle costs and we really want to keep wait times down. Also, insurance is expensive. The more saddles we make, the more expensive insurance is and that drives the saddle cost up.

6. Your Cobra and your buddies Cobra might look slightly different. Thats because we don't nitpick over shades of a specific color. We buy off shade materials at a discount price. Same material, same strength, just a different shade that is often un-noticable. Keeps our saddle prices low.

7. We ship in standard boxes. No fancy prints, no branding...just what we can get cheap. We have upgraded our packing tape though! Fancy boxes are expensive...and drive the saddle price up.

8. We will respond to your messages. We will answer your calls and we will address every question...personally.

9. We have a 30 day return policy. If you are not happy, send it back for a refund. Unhappy people make Unhappy comments and reviews.

Features
1. We use OPLUX and RESC TECH for our bridges. You could get either. It's based on availability.

2. We will offer 2 sizes. Size 1 if for up to a 36 waist. Size 2 is for everyone else. We accounted for bulk clothing.

3. The saddle has a crazy amount of adjustability. The bridge length, the bridge position on the loops, the bridge loop gaps, the depth of the saddle...all adjustable.

4. This is a pleated, expandable saddle with 5 "fixed" positions.
a. The saddle, Like the sidewinder, can be fixed into a 5" utility belt like configuration for the walk in. It doesn't flop around behind your legs. That sucks. This position is not intended for climbing or hanging, although it has been used that way (you know who you are!) and is plenty strong to do so.
b. Then, the standard open configuration. This is open without the pleat engaged. Standard single panel feel.
c. Top Pleat Open. Unlike most expandable saddles, the Cobras stiffer pleat allows for either side or the whole pleat to be open and it stays that way.
d. Bottom Pleat Open...same as above, only opposite!
e. Full pleat open. Provides the most panel realestate.

5. Adjustable Bridge Loop Gaps. Most pleated saddles terminate the pleat at the sides of the panel behind the bridge loops. Ours allows for full adjustment of the panels width. This goes a long way in finding your sweet spot.

6. Same belt options as the Sidewinder.

Observations
Here are some of the comments we have received from a few folks trying out the Cobra:

1. " The saddle is stiff. The mesh is not supple. Different, but still comfortable."
Response. It is TP21 MILSPEC mesh in black. It does soften up over time. This stiffness is critical for distributing weight. Ever sat in a saddle and immediately feel the top and bottom webbing is supporting most of your weight? This doesn't do that.
3. "The pleat is stiff. A welcome change from most."
Response. It takes 9lbs of pull to open it. See the attached video. This saddle will not flop open.
4. "I can feel the webbing on my Iliac crest. Not uncomfortable, but I know it's there."
Response. This is in reference to the 2" webbing that makes up the top and bottom of the pleat. We have made a few minor adjustments based on this comment. We flared the panel a bit to allow some room in this area. Now, this webbing is not under full load. The pleat is free floating and independent of the chassis, so it will never have the pressure that the top and bottom webbing does. While some will feel the pleat webbing, it should not be to a point of discomfort. If it is, there are a lot of adjustmentsnthat can be made to minimalize it.
5. "Damn, this thing is sexy".
Response. Thank you!
6. "The top chassis webbing leaves a gap and doesn't cup the way I am used to"
Response. This is user specific and adjustments can be made. Also, how a user postures can make this difference. Our goal is to take as much pressure off of chassis contact points as possible. We will offer a top bridge strap mod to anyone who cannot adjust this out.
7. Clifford McDuffie (O.G.S.H) Has glorious hair.
Response. Yes...yes he does
8. "When walking in and the saddle is completely closed, the leg loops put pressure on my inner thighs"
Response. Don't wear the legloops when walking in. I just connect them up as if wearing to keep them out of the way.

I don't blame yah. I like the keep it simple moto. Gives me a few more days to try and sell some stuff to keep my wife from getting to mad at me. :)

Nice! I surely have enjoyed my sidewinder all last season. Probably the most comfortable single panel I have ever used. And I mean comfortable. Now a double panel???? Grrrrrr. Nice review. BTW, hair is overrated.

Thanks brother! Glad you enjoyed it. We did get a LOT of positive feedback and we will continue to carry the Sidewinder. Just to clarify, the Cobra is actually a single panel expandable. SUPER comfortable. Reviews are underway!

Ooops, my bad. It is a single panel!! Sorry for any confusion.

They will certainly have some of my money before next season.

Saddle/Functionality is awesome and the transparency of the company makes it even better.

Great job, hope you sell a ton.
