This is the newly released ReDirect Backband. Attaches to any saddle, or can be used like a standard backband. It is designed to "pull back" when leaned into, relieving hip pinch caused by the top panel. Also puts the backband at less of an upward angle when sitting.

Jerry, would you use this instead of a regular back band? Or is this a different type of back band? Can it be used either way with ez? In combination? Or set to ride that lower back area.

It can be used either way, although if attached to the saddle, it would need to be taken off and reconfigured as such. This is really meant to take the place of a standard backband.
With that said, while attached to the saddle, the main loop still connects to the carabiner. Its just redirected to a straighter, almost downward direction before being connected to the carabiner. It really acts as a second panel.

Have you done an all day sit in this yet? It looks like required equipment for the rut.

We have done several and we have received feedback from 12 field testers that all say it makes a huge difference on longer sits as one of their pluses. A minus across the board is that it is a 5-10 minute install. About half of the field testers said that it was no benefit over a standard backband.Half of them thought it was a big advantage over a standard backband. All of the field testers that were experiencing hip pinch with their single panels found it beneficial.
