Oooh, those are stylish!

I'd be trying to cut my leg off if i was ever caught wearing those...

We have several MS461’s on our crew. They have enough dog and power for the short leaf pine and hardwoods here in the Ozarks. Only issue is geysering but is the same with most saws (especially STIHL)

What is geysering? I never heard that term.

You might be cutting your leg off if you don't wear those.
My leg was saved by chaps. If they can save me from bleeding to death in the woods, then I don't care what they look like.
Chaps, and carharts, sure! Stihl branded pants are a bit much for me.

I have a few cuts in my stihl pants. I cut a lot of wood and since this site is about safety. I would not be caught dead without them.

I was by no means saying don't wear chaps or safety equipment. I always do. I was just poking fun at the pants. As you can tell by my saws, I'm not about the latest and greatest, just dependable and functional.

Believe he was poking a joke and you missed it

Buy once, cry once........I would look at the pro Husqvarna XP saws. I bought a 346XP and put an Oregon 16" bar on it and run with 91 octane, Sea Foam, and Amsoil Saber Pro at 50:1. The saw absolutely RIPS.

That’s what I have 346XP! It’s a great saw, I’m running a 20”

I guess Tom and I are slow. No problem I even wear ear muffs and a hard hat when cutting down trees

I got the Milwaukee fuel 18v as soon as they came out. The mechanism is made by Oregon so parts are readily available. IMG_20180801_221604_01.jpgMy dad has had the Dewalt 40v since they were available. No gas to mix, lasts 45-60 minutes on the big 12Ah battery, Still needs bar oil but that's a given. I also bought their string trimmer, with hedge trimmer and pole saw attachment for clearing lanes last spring.

If you must get a gas model, whatever the closest dealer has, husky or Stihl, so parts and service are close at hand. Use ethanol free gas and have fun. Ethanol free is all I run in any small engine, boat, mower, etc.

I love this chain sharpener
The best way to daily sharpen a chain

These are definitely nice! My brother in law has one. I've been using a granberg bar mount sharpener(manual, not 12v) for ever and love it. I can adjust it for all my ripping chains for my mill as well.
