I have a "Lite" model tree saddle. It has a big red metal buckle with lots of 2" webbing on both ends. When hunting in warm weather I have it sinched up. When hunting in cold weather I have to let it out. In either case it seems to creep loose and want to fall off my small butt. I was looking at another Saddle manufacture and they were using welded and coated 2" Double D Rings. The manufacture in its advertising states this is both lighter and more secure than any other buckle out there. Does anyone have any experience with using Double D rings with the belt portion of a saddle. I have a sewing machine and can easily make the modification. Before saddle hunting I used a safety belt that used the double D rings and it never loosened when used.
