I took a garage hook and ran a dye over the end. I added a wing nut to serve as a thread lock.
Its pretty adjustable. Unscrew from the tree slightly to adjust the up/down angle and unscrew the cam slightly and lock wing nut to change side to side angle.
Not exactly the most low-visibility set up in areas with thieves, but it works fine in safe areas. Cheap and easy to make.

Nice hanger Tom. I have been using this one for a few seasons. FYI another option

https://www.qdma.com/build-diy-trail-camera-mount/
Build List:
1 Screw Eye: 2 inch
1 Eyebolt: 1/4 x 2 inches (20 threads per inch)
1 Hex bolt: 3/8 x 1 inches
1 Hex nut: 3/8 inch
1 Wing nut: 1/4 inch
3 Washers: 5/16 inch
1 Lock Washer: 3/8 inch
I like that. It would be smaller in a pack than mine...maybe slightly more adjustable??? Maybe?

The QDMA one is the one ive been using.... It's versatile being able to move/ adjust the angles up and down and left it right...

nice.

my version... I take a flat piece of steel or aluminum flat bar, 1/2" wide and cut it to 4-5 inches. bend a 90 degree 1.5" from the end. Drill a hole at both ends. I then epoxy all tread into my camera and cut it to where it is 1" long. I use a 2" lag bolt to screw the short end (the one I bent) to tree and a wing nut on other end to secure the camera. I then Bend it to get the up/down angle, the pivot point on tree (lag bolt connection) to get it horizontal, and the wing nut for left and right. Cheap, weights next to nothing, they all stack together, and I can carry a bunch in a small pouch. I'd throw a pic in but all my cameras are out.

I use the QDMA idea. The eye can also be attached to a small piece of angle and attached to the tree with strap or paracord.

Yes. I believe it will be more versatile however..... I would upgrade the 2in Screw Eye to be a bit bigger or longer if possible. I haven't check for a new one yet. I had one that a squirrel or something treated as a trampoline and by the time I got there it was almost falling down.

I've been using the QDMA version as well. I really like it for hanging up high and angling down. Plus, it's cheap and easy to make.

I bought HME camera mounts on sale a few years ago . I like them alot. They adjust very easily.
