Climbing method as platform

I was using the Shikar /Scout combo (that is for sale by the way) with a Amsteel daisy chain and wire aider . This is a great combo but now I climb exclusively using the Scout Solo and am refining the system. I can now climb without the necessity to descend to remove platform as I can now remotely release it and bring it up to me. Piecing the parts together and initial trials are working great.

Very interested in seeing that. Thanks for sharing!

Just finished making a cinching lanyard so chances of falling during transition are mitigated. Very easy to get to height and of course rock the rap on the way down!

What climbing methods are out there that also serve as the platform? I've seen the lone world hand climbers, and some people even girth hitching a tether with a stick on the end and standing on the stick. Mostly looking to see what is put there.

I just one stick climb my platform

My new 1-stick scout/mini shikar. Going to be a sweet set up. Adding a couple steps to strap and I see no problem with all day sit.

That's slick

Received a solo yesterday and I made a few trips up a tree this morning with just the solo and a three step ladder-style Amsteel aider. Sure seems promising!

I gave up on using ladder-style aiders mounted directly to a strap around a tree awhile ago because I wasn't able to get a full boot (i.e., step of aider positioned under the arch of my boot) for every step taken. I could get the first one arch-deep (6 inches), but then I was limited to half the distance for the next step (3 inches), and half that distance for the following one (1.5 inches). The standoff of the solo allows me to overcome this issue and affords a sturdy step each time.

I think this is the lightest way to go

To be honest, I considered getting the regular scout to attach it to my stick as a topper platform. Pretty glad I didn't though. This morning's test may have just made my stick obsolete...
I can't decide if the knaider swaider would be better or the fixed aider, I'll probably go fixed for costs and weight
