Climbing method as platform

I have been following this topic with great interest since i am looking for a climbing method for early mornings when my DRT setup won't work. I have the predator platform and just need to get an aider to try it.

I was thinking more minimal than multiple steps, maybe naider and swaider with one step. Im sure it's been tried.

I’ve tired this method it’s doable but when using k&s it better using linemen’s bc you set back into it when you climb so with a tether it’s a little more difficult but doable.

Yeah I ordered some 1" webbing to make a 5 step adier and use that with the solo scout

What are you doing to release the solo remotely? Looked pretty slick but I wasn’t sure what you were using or how you did it. Looks like you are using a cam strap?

Thats what im running... it is legit...

Yes I am making up a setup that still uses the original cam strap and the device I am using is called a snap shackle. It latches closed to hold platform tight and then allows to remotely release it under load. User assumes risk . I am using one that has a 1700lb wl and 3800 breaking rating.

I am sure once you get the hang of all that, it;s easy, but it looks gruelingly slow and it would be hard for me to manage all that in the dark.

Here it is boys and girls... 5.5lbs of ascending, platforming, and descending goodness. Hopefully I can get some shots of it all in action tomorrow.

I just have a spliced eye and hang it over top stand off and post. Mines just a diy job. Out of an linemen’s I got with one of my old tree stand harnesses.

Brother and law made me a Amsteel chain to keep mine closed
Works pretty good easy on and off and light weight. I also use original cam buckle strap.
