This was an idea I had earlier today and was wondering if anyone has ever done it. These are the steps I would see to use it and it follows a bit of an aider and tether mashup. Here are the steps:
1) Sinch rope/webbing around the tree, same as you would with your tether.
2) Tie webbing/rope around middle of foot. 1 on each foot.
3) Move one higher than the other where knee is in 90 degree position on one leg.
4) Step up.
5) Move Rope/webbing on other foot up.
6) Repeat steps 3-4 til desired height.
This would reduce the need for steps completely. Obvious this would make it tougher when going around branches. For the trees I hunt in the south (Georgia and Alabama) that wouldn’t affect me almost at all.
Thoughts?
