Maybe it's just been a coincidence....but last year after I switched to 1 stick method I killed a buck on my 4th hunt. This year I killed a buck on my 5th hunt. It's been a game changer for how I hunt and setup.
 
I got my canyon elite from EWO, by the foot. I think it was 40’ for $58, which is also cheap….the orange was in stock.
My cam cleats should be here today. I’m gonna put one on my 2 step helium with 3 step aider, but also gonna try one sticking with a 36” and single step aider. I have single step aiders on all 3 of my 36”sticks, I just don’t want to carry all 3 of them, nor do I want to stop my rappel as I’m having too much fun!
I’m using the elite for my tether and rappel, keeping most in a pouch while hunting. A Black Diamond ATC with that Beal cord tied with a prussik for my brake. That’s on a secondary shorter bridge, also made out of the elite.

I might need to consider trying me stick climbing after this season. I might need to do more tinkering with my sticks since right now I’ve got the cable aider on a full hawk helium

Let me know how it goes using the full stick with a one step aider, that is what I currently have.

Are those cable aiders 5/16 or 1/4? just wondering if I need to order some 1/4 to try out the heliums
 
Here is an idea , If you can be patient check the classified ads daily and you will find most of what you need (with the exception of the belay device).

I don’t know if that patter would excite me. At that rate, in a few years, you’ll run out of hunts before you kill a buck. LOL
