I’m interested in how you use the figure 8 without a backup do you mind sharing more details ?

To get my Way across I really need a helmet cam I'd say.
But, you can check out the thread that I mentioned a couple posts above. It might help explain a little bit?

I should work on taping my palm-corder to a hat brim or something and sharing this.Haha

Now I'm curious. Only way I can think, aside from an eared-8, would be to put a 1/2 twist in the line so that it forms an "X" over the bridge of the 8 so that the working end bights into the standing end.

I'm going out right now to test which of my 8s works good with the Ultra-Tech so I can send it to the OP.
I'll think of a way to explain my method for yins guys.

It took me a really long time to get it squared away but I finally got a video of my method.
I don't know how to post a link but just go to the climbing section and look for the figure eight thread...

The video kinda sucks but you can see how i do it.
