Climbing stick opinions

I like a folding step for packability. It's a little weight penalty, yes. Compact is more important to this guy.

I'm still rocking my 4 year old heliums. I know they aren't the cool option anymore, they just flat out work.

I'm intrigued by Tethered's design but waiting a year or two to see how the glue sitch works out for them. I expect to see some changes to that design aspect when the beta customers get through this year.

So you like the way the Beasts stack? I heard it's a big profile. True or not? Thanks

I'm with @elk yinzer , if packability is your main concern, look for folding steps.

I'd say LWCG double steps have very high marks for packability. The Tethrd ONE sticks aren't too bad. Same for Catalyst Great White Buffalos.

In folding designs, LWCG single steps and OOAL Shikar sticks are pretty slick for packing.

Right, also specifically how they stack. Can't believe no one has copied my proprietary 3 stick stacking method yet.

@GCTerpfan shared it with me (us) in the backpacking thread. Slick.

I absolutely love my EWO sticks. Their ability to lock down on the tree and the standoffs sold them for me. I wanted sticks that I felt completely safe climbing and these sticks did that for me. I also got cable aiders for these through EWO and I could not speak more highly of those.
