Coffee travel mugs?

Besides my knife and weapon of choice for the day, my coffee is the most essential part of my hunt.

The Contigo was nice but small capacity, spill-proof when you remember to close the lid, but kinda loud when opening and closing. The yeti style mugs are bigger, quieter but not completely spill-proof so it's hard to trust them in a pack if you have a difficult walk-in.

So I'm looking for a new mug for the saddle.

I don’t take coffee every time but use a screwtop yeti rambler. Like mini thermos basically. They did come out w/a new lid called the hotshot & I want to try it but haven’t yet. I will say mine has never leaked or gotten cold.

I’ve got a camo thermos that holds about a half pot of coffee. I don’t usually take it deer hunting with me. I pee enough as it is:tearsofjoy:

When I take my kids with me I fill it with got chocolate and leave it in the truck as a treat for them when we get out of the woods.

I have tried all different types and styles of thermoses and lid combos. As mentioned above, Yeti has a specific coffee lid named the Hot Shot Cap which is absolutely the best I've found. It'll screw in any of your favorite Yeti Ramblers, never spill, keep your drink dangerously hot, easy to drink from and easy to disassemble to clean. Having the piece of mind that I can throw this combo in my pack without spillage is worth the Yeti markup.

I have the Yeti 20 ounce thermos. It literally keeps my coffee piping hot for 8 hours and longer. I have laid it down in my pack, it's been upside down and all over my pack without one drop lost.

Yeti in the truck on the way to the woods, and a Stanley in the woods. This is the one I use if I'm moving around a lot (climbing stand, etc), otherwise (blind or ladder stand) I'll just refill the Yeti and carry it.

Is there anything that retains heat longer than a Yeti (vac sealed like a Thermos)?

I am a big yeti fan. But search Zojirushi on Amazon! I couldn’t get my picture to upload for some reason. The one I have is probably slightly less capacity than a rambler bottle, but it sure does keep that java HOT! For a loooong time!

I have the Stanley but It started leaking... I’m thinking about messaging Stanley to see if they will send me a new lid. I cut the bottom off one koozie and slid it up to the top. Then I put a regular koozie on the bottom. The koozies are forgiving when you bump metallic stuff.

Mine has only ever leaked if it wasn't assembled exactly correct. The multiple pieces in the lid have to align exactly right or else it will leak pretty bad. I found that out with scalding hot coffee one morning as I was climbing a tree in the dark.

This one is 24oz. I have it in stainless. It’s traveled thousands of miles on a train with me working. I’ve had this one probably 2 yrs. it’s dented up but lid is great. Will not leak. Walmart has them.

This, no debating it. Completely spill proof and I got the colored one so there is no shine. It also holds sweet tea like a dagum champ.
