Coffee travel mugs?

So this afternoon around 1400 somewhere in far eastern Alabama I pour my son a cup of coffee from my Zojorushi. He had filled the Zojorushi this morning at 0630 in Arkansas.

He takes a swig and starts raising absolute hell because he got scalded

I start telling him about this thread then had to search for and find it. Read thru the whole thing again just now at home. Pure gold

Which model are do you have?

Is there anything that retains heat longer than a Yeti (vac sealed like a Thermos)?

Yes...see antleraddict's post.

I have the Yeti 20 ounce thermos. It literally keeps my coffee piping hot for 8 hours and longer. I have laid it down in my pack, it's been upside down and all over my pack without one drop lost.

I used the yeti for my coffee, but once i switched to the Zojirushi it has been a game changer. I can literally have HOT coffee for 8-10 hours and warm coffee up to 12 hours. I once made my coffee to hot and 4 hours into the hunt, I scalded my mouth because the coffee was so ding dang hot.

I am a big yeti fan. But search Zojirushi on Amazon! I couldn’t get my picture to upload for some reason. The one I have is probably slightly less capacity than a rambler bottle, but it sure does keep that java HOT! For a loooong time!

I absolutely love mine

Support the saddle hunter’s online supply store and buy it from DanO - he even sells a fleece cover with molle attachment to mount it on your pack and keep it from making noise…

Excellent point! Can’t believe I dropped the ball and didn’t link to @DanO

Another vote for the Kleen Kanteen. I bought mine maybe ten years ago for deer hunting, and pretty much immediately adopted it for daily use. When I thought I lost it (had dropped it in the garage), my wife went out and bought me a replacement for Christmas

This could be my first post, new guy here.
I love all my Yeti stuff, but you absolutely will not find a better hot beverage thermos than a Zojirushi, PERIOD!
Trust me on this one, one handed quiet opening, and keeps stuff HOT, like too hot. I have to let my coffee cool down before I put it in.
Try one out, you won't be disappointed.

Yeti in the truck on the way to the woods, and a Stanley in the woods. This is the one I use if I'm moving around a lot (climbing stand, etc), otherwise (blind or ladder stand) I'll just refill the Yeti and carry it.

Totally agree this is the best.
