Cold Weather

I'm looking to get into saddle hunting and had a question about cold weather. I hunt in MN and my feet are always the first to get cold when sitting on a treestand. I was wondering if leaning in a saddle would somehow have better blood flow to your feet compared to sitting in a treestand, maybe?? Anyone notice anything like this?

Buy the Hot hands boot warmer (shaped like it fits in the toe portion of your boots). Take them and press the to inside *TOP** portion of your boot so itll warm the top part of your toes. This will also keep it out the way so it doesn't feel like you're standing on something. I hunt in western PA in the mtns and my feet haven't gotten cold since I started using those in that method

Interesting, thanks for the reply! I've used those toe warmers before but stuck them on the bottom of my socks and felt like they weren't getting enough oxygen and weren't very effective. I'll try sticking them on the top inside portion of my boots above my toes.

My feet are always the first thing to get cold. I've tried 1200gm insulated boots, Mickey's, toe warmers, everything but electric socks.

I suggest walking in slow, heavyweight wool socks, artic shield booties w/ hot hands inside. And then be ready to climb down and walk around. I've tried the toe warmers in just about every combination I can think of. They just don't work for me. I feel like a lot of the time they make my feet sweat before I even get set up.

I don't see leaning being any warmer than sitting. I've jogged in place, done squats, calf raises. Nothing warms me up like getting down and walking for 10 or 15 min.

Heater body suit, but I don’t know if it works with a saddle. Think there is a thread here. Search and find.

I had an HBS. While it is awesome, the new Arctic Shield Insulator Suit I got last year is much better in the windproof department and is half the price.

But, unfortunately, I'm not sure if I could use a suit like this in a saddle.
