Hello all. I am wanting to step up my game within the saddle hunting trend. I am still learning the ends and outs of saddles and haven't picked one out yet. I have decided to use a fleece style for this up coming season to see how it works for me until I can figure out which saddle is best for me. My question is on prusiks. The rope I bought is advertised for use as prusiks however, it's a very stiff rope and doesn't seem to wrap very well. I have a decided to leave Amazon alone on this rope venture as I do not trust my ropes that I got through them anymore. I was trying to do this on a budget to start out and I have found where I can buy good rope by the foot through Eastern Woods Outdoors. I will will be buying my tether/ rappelling rope from them. It's 10mm Sterling HTP static rope. which is rated at 26.6 KN which is a MBS rating of 5,900 LBS. What I cant figure out is what type of rope to make my prusiks from. If anyone can help on this that would be great.
