Covid found in deer populations

It will be interesting to see if they come up with a method of "transmission". I am having a hard time understanding how it is getting transmitted to wild populations? It would seem that to have it spread that widely in wild populations it would almost have to be mechanically or had manmade help to spread like this. Anyone remember the unmarked, unidentified drones flying over eastern Colorado and western Nebraska a while back that no one knew who owned them, why they were flying patterns out there? Did we ever figure that out?

Just sayin.....
It’s all those hunters with Covid last year. You touch your broad head to screw it on at the truck, walk out shoot the deer in the rear or gut… he doesn’t die and instead you’ve infected every doe in the area with Covid from that one buck lol  conspiracy theories

The hunting guide here every year warns people to keep an eye out for bovine tuberculosis indications on the lungs of deer when field dressing. I'm not a scientist, but I could see livestock that have close contact with people being a possible bridge to deer.

If I found a magic lamp, my first first wish would be that biology was as non-political as physics.

As far as transmission, domestic deer. Isn't that how cwd got started?
Don’t lie man, your first wish would be winning the bucket contest.
