Crossbow in saddle

I never really thought of holding the crossbow for long periods in the saddle. I just hang it on a screw in hook within easy reach.

Thats what I do with a gun often too. We just figured if it was already hanging there it would be less movement to get it up and ready.

So, anyone have crossbow specific experience with the tree saddle? Please share. I already know about the benefits and usage of the saddle in general, so I do not need that info. Just looking at how difficult or easy it is to shoot while in a saddle and if it is possibe to re-cock with a rope cocker while in a saddle.

I tried a crossgun for half a season with a damaged tendon in shoulder. Shot a few deer. Its much easier. I could shoot both sides of tree without changeing positions. Opened up alot more shot opertunities. Still wasnt a fan and got back to bow asap. Shot this buck twic with crossgun. Perfect shot first look behind shoulder b4 second shot u can see the hole. Blades never opened. Guy i borrowed from shot expandables. Anyway i reloaded it by hand from saddle no prob. It was easy for me anyway. https://youtu.be/nXyxDQ5v8co

I've messed with my dads Excalibur Matrix from the saddle and it was actually easier than I thought it would be. Instead of swinging around the tree to shoot to the right, just shoot left handed! Feels a tad awkward at first but very easy to do. I thought so at least!

My dad uses a crossbow now and he has been using it from the saddle with no problems.
