I guess the climbing platform was a nasty rumor.

Love the size on this

I'd rather have more width than depth, so for me the predator XL wasn't as appealing. It's going to be a tough choice between the EDP and the Seeker. I lean so at first thought I'm leaning towards the Seeker, but we'll see.

I loved loved loved my mission, but it was a bit larger than I'd like. I was going to keep it until I saw these other options come out. 3 cheers for innovation!

I don’t know if the front angled part is worth it? It’s still not much support when you are leaning and it takes away more usable space in my opinion. I think putting the platform at a downward angle would benefit you more then the 1-2” of angle on that platform. Just my 2 cents though.

When I had my mission it was more comfortable for me to use the edge of my platform to lean with most of the bottom of my foot not touching anything. I only used the flat part to stand on, adjust, turn for a shot etc. You certainly could be right, I'm excited to get my hands on it and try it out.

This will end up being hunter preference. A few members built or modified platforms similar to this (probably more that I don't know of too). But, if you look at the first link below, the Seeker's dimensions are remarkably close to the member's build, so it's a good frame of reference.

Anyway, here are three opposing reactions from members who went this route:

1. "After my initial sit I will say the lip on the front doesn’t do much, it was rare that I stood that far out on the platform some added comfort when on the edge but really not needed. I think the lip would be more effective if the platform was shorter."

2. "I modified my ambush to what you are talking about. Super comfortable and Rock solid."

3. "Here's one I made, love it!......I did one out of steel tubing, actually 3 of them finally settled on 6" angle 20 degrees. This pic is one with i believe 30 degrees."

So, split opinions on the shortish angled Seekerish style, and one preference for a longer angled portion.

Anyway, these two threads are pretty great IMO:
