Does anyone on here have any experience with their system? I am really interested in pulling the trigger on 5 cams through them to monitor the deer movement without adding the pressure on my 60 acre piece. So for anyone that has their cams I have a couple questions.

1. Is it worth the coin??
2. What size GB card are you running??
3. How is the battery life with lithium's??
4? Can you run them without the cell network? I have good service at my place but just want to use the home cam as a hub?

I have 8 cameras and a home unit. I love them. I have a small cabin on my property with the home unit inside the cabin. It’s nice to be able to check cameras whenever you feel like. Between my brother and I we may check it several times a day when we’re there. Lithium’s are ok but have had much better luck adding the d-cell battery pack. I’d estimate it lasting twice as long as standard aa’s. Running on non lithium aa’s will not do you much good. You’ll be replacing batteries quite often, especially if you get a lot of pictures. I don’t use a cellular home unit.

@sdoyle1 so when your J-CAM takes a picture it saves it on the home unit and the J-CAM itself right? So you don't technically have to run them on cell service right? I am thinking of going all out and buying solar panels for all of them as well.

You don’t need a cell plan. Pictures are saved to the actual camera and the home unit. However if you have a three shot burst setting on camera it only sends one of the three back to the home unit. The pics on the home unit are lesser quality as well however they’re good enough to see what you need. You can get full quality pictures off the camera itself. Both of these things are done to save battery power. It will send a camera status picture back with other pictures as well. This will tell you a lot about the camera. It tells you if batteries are good, the name of camera, what the signal strength is on camera, if there are any pictures in the queue waiting to be sent back, how many pictures are on card in the camera, how much free space is on the card and how many days since you changed the batteries.

Oh okay I thought the home cam sent pics to your cell. That is a bonus because I didn't want to deal with setting all of that up and wanted to run it like that.

There’s two different home units. One is cell and one is not.

I am happy with mine. When they need batteries in 6 weeks it is frustrating. When the system is working properly, it is a thing of beauty. I found the lithium's better, but not worth the extra$. I started 3 years ago, the cost of cell cams has come way down since then. I don't know if I was starting now that I would go with this system or not. Customer service was excellent.
 
Very happy. They just rolled out remote setting changes, which in my opinion was the only features missing. Their mesh technology is the future and you can have 24 cameras under one cell plan. Use the cameras that take D batteries. The J series use to be AA but they just released a revised version that takes D cells.
 
I have the Cuddeback system set up at home and love it. About the only complaint I have is that I live in Maine and it is very heavily forested here so the remote cameras don't seem to have the advertised range of 1/4 mile. I use high energy AA batteries in mine and I have 1 camera out right now that I haven't changed the batteries in since around Christmas. Battery life will depend on the amount of pics taken though. The more pics, the shorter the battery life. Mine are also not the newer cell model.
 
If you get the dual battery banks or even the single battery banks then you will get alot longer battery life. In the D cell get Rayovac High Energy as they work far better than other batteries. You can buy a lot of 105 on Ebay for like $70.
