I only seen a mention of them, did anyone end up trying them? Thinking of trying them out. It'll be my first adventure in fletching.

Nice fletching, haven't tried the new version. Didn't do anything for me that my previous fletching didn't lol. Sticking with my AAE PM23 LH 4-fletch. BTW DCA recommends using a 3-fletch. I just sold 120+ DCA vanes...

I've faded into the background of perfecting an arrow tune for stabilization and then adding a low profile setup on the rear to benefit me. I've started staying away from higher profile vanes, and it's not because they don't work lol.

Why don't you like the higher profile vanes? Sorry if I'm just dense here. What didn't you like? If they're actually quiet and durable they seem like a good choice, although speedy but I can live with that if they're durable

I'm shooting blazers/bully or rapt-x now because that's what's on pre-fletched.

Mostly a personal preference vs. anything else. Better sight housing clearance for distance, better cable/guard clearance for tuning, and less profile wind resistance at distance. Not really basing my personal decision solely off of accuracy, as I have previously shot 4" (vanes and feathers)/5" (vanes and feathers)/Blazer/Blazer X2/AAE MAX Stealth/TAC Vanes (both sizes), etc. Never really saw accuracy differences IF the arrow tune was on point.

Looks like Jake (?) On Elk Shape likes the DCA vane too

When did pink and yellow come out? I would swear Lancaster didn't have them last week... I'm guessing I just overlooked them though

Edit: maybe they were just out of stock, they are now too

Well I bought 100 white ones. Weighed 50 for giggles, <10 took a couple tries but every one of them came out at 7.0gr on my scale. Didn't see anything worse than 6.8 or 7.4 the whole time but they are sold as +/- .1

Not sure I'm the best guy for accuracy testing , or any testing lol, but if any one has questions feel free to ask and I'll see what I can do

If you went with the Heats. You could have saved 1gr per fletching. On 3 vanes x 4 arrows, you could have reduced your weight by 12gr. Hope you don't call your self a minimalist...

What's Lancasters return policy??!!?

But he did switch to an amsteel toothbrush handle. :tonguewink:
Ain't got no toofers! Problem solved!

Actually related to vanes, I also weighed some Q2i that I bought to try and they came in nearly a grain heavy. Doesn't really matter but weight was part of why I picked those in particular

Unscientific but they do seem, quieter? Maybe just less whistle/different pitch but I'm shooting against sonic 6.0 pre-fletched ( helical also), and today I didn't notice the difference like I had been. I have a GT force FOC and a sonic 6 with DCA on them. Sonics are 460gr and force 475gr. I've been Shooting 40, farther than usual, but I can't determine any accuracy difference.
Using EZ max mini right to fletch the DCA. I'm also setting up/ getting used to a new bow, so there is that

They stick good so far but again, not scientific. Using AAE primer pen and easton quick bond because that's what's available locally

Questions welcome!

I'm planning on fletching up a dozen in the near future for turkey, at least, and plan on running them going forward.
