Anyone else had this spray go bad? I bought a two pack in the summer and all seemed fine, but it’s definitely turned on me. Smells like really weak vinegar or some kind of cucumber flavored water…..

I’ve used it for years and this is not a problem I’ve encountered. I’m planning to throw it away, but confused as to what happened. It’s mostly been in my garage, which has been warm this year.

I had it go bad on me several years ago.
It didn't start to have an odor to it but it definitely stopped killing odors, ANY odor.
I contacted the company and they themselves told me that the product does have a shelf life and that the amount of shelf life is effected by how it's handled. If it's exposed to heat (stored in a hot closet, kept on the dashboard, etc) the stuff will go bad.

Buddy of mine had some that smelled like baked beans a little after the bottles went bad

As a follow up to this I bought a new bottle of scent killer gold. Test smelled it in the store before buying just to be sure it wasn’t nasty.
Also opened 3 bottles of DDW and they all smelled like the stuff I have at home.

Took the scent killer gold home, sprayed it over some stuff that was stanky from ddw and it definitely made a huge difference to my nose, even the next day it seems fine. I’m assuming the stuff on the store shelf was simply old, but it’s not the same ddw smell I’ve used for years prior.

Basically I’m going to rewash everything that has the funky spray on it and test spray a rag or something before spraying anything on my gear from now on.

It was all bought at Walmart so who knows how long those bottles were in a hot warehouse.
