Here's my camera arm and base. The base is 5 inch 6061 aluminum U channel and some camera rig parts with a piece of drilled out HDPE for the arm to drop into.

The carbon arm is 25mm tubes. 7/8ths pvc should technically squeeze inside the carbon.... It doesn't, so I had to scrape it down and cut 4 pieces at 1.5". I drilled a 1" whole into a black HDPE block and cut it up for the washers and tripod head mount. 3/8ths aluminum rod just pressed into the pvc for the swivel. And a 3/8-16 Allen set screw jb welded in for the video head. Make sense? Let me know if you want close up or have questions.

Looks awesome How much $ was the total build? You may be able to make these for a profit if so inclined. I’d be happy to order one from you...

Holy crap that is one heck of an upgrade for minimalist hunters!
How is the movement on the arms/head? Any camera drift?

I think somewhere close to $100 in parts, but now I can get it down if I buy in bulk and am more targeted. @Jgetch @WARPONY I'm going to work on getting a process and product that I'm 100% happy with. We can talk on messenger if you want. I'm not putting timelines on anything, we all know how that turns out... I'll try to put like 5 together and see how it all goes.

Yeah, it's tiny :)

The arm doesn't drift, it isn't as smooth as the fourth arrow yet, definitely acceptable, but I've got ideas for Gen 2. You can get it pretty darn level with the rosette clamp, so it shouldn't anyway. The head is just a cheap one off my tripod, but that's up to you and what you put on it.

anybody know where to get the 1" version of these saddle washers for a decent price?570-80061_0.png

Id be interested in one but am curious first off how this develops after a few gens!! That is half the weight and over half the bulk. Curious as to how heavy a camera this could support? Very cool my friend!!
