Just ordered the EZ Green Press, draw board, vise, etc. Next step is building a work bench in my garage to mount everything to and work from. Probably going to need about a 30 inch bench top to work from. Before I go buy everything I need for it (I so do not know my way with the wood ) what are some suggestions before I tear into this? ALL suggestions welcomed.

For a benchtop? The more room the better! I'm about to rebuild bench(s) but the last one was an L-shape 24"x96" on one side and 24"x60" on the other side. I also built a 12"x48" bench just for the press to attach to. For the benchtop material, I used 3/4" OSB and covered it with grey outdoor carpet.

Was the the 3/4 OSB sturdy enough to mount everything to?
In the place where I mounted my press I added an extra 2x4 for the lag bolts to sink into. My drawboard was mounted to the front of the bench and into a 2x4. The arrow saw was held down with coarse drywall screws into the OSB. If you're worried about it being strong you could buy double up the OSB or buy oak plywood but that's not really cost effective.

Looking to get started on a garage bow shop. Just for myself of coarse. Any pictures of your set up and advise welcome. Love to see other shop setups. Thanks in advance!

How do you like that EZ Vise?!

I like it since it slows me to fold it up and put it out of the way, and it can be mounted vertically or horizontally. Truthfully though, it doesn’t get used much. Seems I either use the limb legs for the Mathews, or the bow rests in the press. The newer version of the LCA draw board is nice- no detent to depress to let down. Works kind of like the drag on a fishing reel. Very impressed with the LCA Arrow Saw and Vane Master Pro, too. Cleanest, most precise arrows I’ve built yet. Set up requires some attention to detail, but that’s speaks to my personality.
