1. Buy amazon hammock straps
2. Fold unlooped side strap in half to the point where loops start and sew loops on remaining strap length (multiple stitches with good thread) i use a bright color to make inspection easy)
3. Inspect and Test! Test! Test!, at a low tree height as you should do with all diy gear. These have been bombproof for me and my uses on 24" api's. I weigh 206.

My buddy uses these. He leaves them long. So after attaching the stick to the tree the tag end works as an aider
