DIY or Beast Sticks

Trying to decide on a particular route to go. I looked around and decided what I wanted in a set of sticks. Beast Sticks are the closest production set I have found to how I would build them.

Just to be thorough, I priced out a DIY set from EWO and as pricey as the Beast Sticks are, by the time I would be through the DIY set would be even more.

Am I missing anything, or should I just go with the Beast set?

What is the particular route you want to go down sir? That will help others here know how to assist you with more information.

Not knowing the route, I do know you won’t go wrong the beast sticks.

I’ve gone back and forth about the same kinds of things. In my opinion you will not be disappointed with the beast sticks. For as much as the EWO sticks cost, I really was bothered by the slight step wiggle due to there only being 1 bolt for each step. No such issue with the beasts.

I have the beast sticks and love them. Although I would recommend stealth stripping them. My only complaint about them is they ring like a wind chime if you bump them together. Stealth strips reduce that a ton. Highly recommend the stick attachment rod too.

I think the main benefit of the EWO sticks over the beasts is that the standoffs hold them further away from the tree. Otherwise I think all other features are basically equal between beast and EWO, with the exception of the single bolt for the steps on the EWO. Just my opinion on the 1 bolt thing though. Seems like a lot of other guys aren’t bothered by it.

100% agree with @Westdesign03. I have a set if beast sticks, stealth stripped every inch of them (including standoffs and steps), and love them. I also built out a full stick with EWO components and love that as the standoffs give me more foot room. Only drawback I see with a set of EWO sticks is they stack offset. I absolutely love the 4 sticks (two one-sticking setups, two full length sticks) I've built with EWO components but I keep going back to beast sticks if I'm hunting with a set of sticks. Just like they way they stack and pack.

Side note. I took two buddies out to introduce them to saddle hunting. Used every stick I have during the demo so they could make an informed decision and see the benefits of each. Both ended up ordering beast sticks the next day.

Not advocating for either brand. I own both, use both, and am pleased with the products I own. If foot room is a big selling point for you and you don't care about sticks stacking in an offset manner, hard to beat EWO components. If you want what I consider a more streamlined stacking setup, and you can manage with the foot room of beast sticks, beast sticks are it.

Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with either but it all boils down to two things. Personal preference and budget.

Beast sticks are sweet, but you may consider Novix mini double steps. $187 for 4 with promo code. Worth a look.

I doubt you'd be disappointed with the beast sticks.

I got EWO standoffs and beast steps (2 bolts) for a set for my brother.

You can get EWO standoffs that rotate, may or may not be your cup of tea.

Just rounding out the discussion.
