Posted this on the deer forum, just fishing to see if anyone has had success on making homemade ozonice units? I hunt the Az/Mexico border where it gets very hot and sweating is an issue. Just curious if anyone has tackled this task

I bought a ozone generator off amazon and velcro attached it to a large tote with wheels. Large enough to fit all my gear in including a full set of sticks if thats what you prefer. Drilled a hole in the side and run the tube through to pump the ozone in. You then can drill a hole in whatever you want to ozone and just run the same unit for multiple totes or bow case.

I got a refrigerator from a job. Has no freezer so it's a good size. It didn't work so I removed all the shelves and hang clothes in it to refresh them. Drilled a hole in it and pump ozone to clean clothes. Still waiting to see if ozone kills the seals.

I assume you mean a field unit? I built one last year by following some online build. I powered mine with dewalt drill batteries since I already had them. Unit worked fine and was quiet. Results did not blow me away. I felt the results were the same or less than using a cover scent. I prefer fox pee. It is cheap in bulk, takes up less space, and you don't have to charge it.

I work in the HVAC industry and install in-duct air purifiers and some admit ozone. Having a 'basic' understanding of how they work I still can't wrap my head around the units that hang on trees while hunting. Everything I know about ozone/air purification it just doesn't make sense. However, using one to eliminate odors from clothing, etc. in a controlled/sealed space I can wrap my head around. To me that is where they should be used.
