Diy platform idea

Getting to play with this in the daytime....it needs more stuffing which I have plenty at work so gotta wait till tomorrow to get it stuffed completely. I'll get a weight tomorrow also...
Can stand up on it and handles side pressure like champ. I had the women who sewed it put a small pouch to store the ocb buckle when not in use. Once I set it up and initial bounce to lock it in it....isn't moving

That looks great! You are making me realize that I need to find a good sew shop!

Is there anything you dislike about it that you would change in future versions?

So I finished mine today. Made it from a pair of thrifted overalls that were about 4 sizes too big, some seatbelt, and pool noodles.

On the inside of the fabric I ran two loops of seatbelt around the pool noodle pyramid. The straps on the outside of the fabric are sewn to the interior straps, not just the fabric itself.

It comes in at 1lb 9 oz with no strap. Didnt feel like unthreading the squirrel steps to figure out how much the strap adds. Very comfy on the feet. 20200225_180527.jpg20200225_174954.jpg20200225_174914.jpg

At least you got a tool to help unlock your car door if you ever lock your keys in out of your pneumaplatform. What was the problem?
Mainly the closed cell styrofoam I'm using isnt still enough. Gotta find something stiffer. Also that even with the inflatable bag deflated, its bulky. I want to be able to reduce its size by 50% to pack. Gonna get back on it. Just needed to throw it around the garage for an hour.

Mine is super bulky compared to my squirrel steps, but its not as bad as say, 4 full length climbing sticks or a traditional hang on stand. Envision myself mainly using it for all day sits. I was planning on running a packless setup, so slinging this across my back is no big deal in the end.
