I made some treestand safety ropes for my neighbor and thought of a cheap, easy way to make the cowbell carabiner covers to avoid metal on metal clanking.

I took some empty plastic sports drink bottles, cleaned them out, cut the ends off, and cut half inch slits into the sides:

Then I wrapped each side individually with electrical tape to cover sharp edges and quiet the plastic scratching noises. Send the friction hitch down though the hole, pull it out the slit, add a carabiner, and hide it back into the "bell".

Bingo Bango.

I like it! Do you think a bigger bottle or slot/cutout/opening would work with a madrock?

Ok, I gotta say @kyler1945 for the win! Also to bad one of my best friends just quit working for a Bud distributor... :tearsofjoy:

I tried a can style koozie, but they weren't quite the right shape. That bottle one looks just about right, if you have some laying around.

Actually split decision, db4x4 your the chip clip keeper guy right?

Both my wallet and myself very much appreciate your efforts!
