Do compounds every go on sale?

Local bow shop has a pretty killer deal on a Ventnum 30 and Rx5. He's got a two year old Hoyt with the split yoke (pre binary cam) for real cheap.
He also has a new Expedition (last of his stock) that is marked way down.

OOOH, I'd jump on that Ventum. Great bow!!
 
You can ask your local dealer, but you might have better luck on the secondhand market. One of my local guys (Matthews) doesn't sell used bows, the other guy (Bowtech, PSE) does. I'd be more comfortable paying a few bucks more on a used bow, if I buy it from a knowledgeable person who's willing to stand behind it (to a reasonable degree). A pawnshop will have no qualms selling you a basket case, but your local shop would hopefully tell you what's wrong with it - ideally, they'd sort out whatever issues it has before they put a price tag on it.
