Does anyone use activated carbon? Not just scentlok

I use it and dust my gear in it. First year doing so and seen more deer than last season so must work to some degree. I buy the stuff for fish filters then toss into a coffee grinder (dedicated carbon grinder now) so it’s super fine dust. Then I sprinkle it onto my gear inside a tote and then put the lid on and shake the piss out of the tote to coat my gear. Turns my gear a little darker but washes out when needed.
