Does anyone use OnX app?

Gaia was built originally for hikers. They are now branching off into all types of activities. If you want to add the private lands and public lands for any state, all you have to do in Gaia is click on the add button when you are in the map layer screen. You will then see all the different kinds of maps you can download. Private and public lands are in there. Gaia uses a line instead of the dots on public which to me is easy to follow.

You can use the code THANKS30 for 30% off all their memberships and merchandise until 12/1/19. A one year membership would only be $21

I am a premium member, but don’t see those maps. I’ll have to put a ticket in I guess. Thanks!

I’ve been using it for 3-4 seasons now and it’s a small price to pay in my opinion. Camofire has deals on it now and again.

Click the three little bars that I circled in the upper right hand corner

Then hit the add button in the top right hand corner

After that you will see on the next screen US hunting overlays

I hope this helps you

Thanks! I had already done that on my iPhone and iPad. No dice. I had to log into the web site and add public and private there first. Once I did that, I was able to add to Gaia.

For anyone interested, the following pics will show onx public, onx private, gaia public and Gaia private. With Gaia, one can change the opacity of the layers, which is nice, but not as simple to use as simple topo/satellite/hybrid with onx.

I think Gaia will work better for power users, and onx will be better with everyday users. I am used to the lime green property boundaries on onx.

I’ll still run both and evaluate them. I may keep both or just one. Not sure at this point.
