Does anyone use OnX app?

My question is this... Is the free version worth using? I have Huntstand (free edition) and it is okay. I have been hearing things about OnX and wondered if it was any good.

I switched to OnX from other apps this season. I like it best so far. Free versions are all the same IMO. They don’t really honor what the apps are capable of. Use the code “THP” for OnX and just get the year subscription. It’s way more worth it for $24. A common phrase on here is “how much more money have you wasted on worthless hunting gear?” I can say OnX is a $24 you won’t miss.

Well worth it. I just got back from an elk hunt out west. Our "guide" was brand new to the area and had no sense of direction. Without me having OnX we might still be walking around the back country. Very easy to use and the offline feature is great. Doesnt hardly burn any battery. Put it in airplane mode and go.

I definitely think it’s worth it, I know some people have complaints (by region) but but Maryland, Missouri & Virginia have been accurate for me

Definitely worth the money. Been using it for 3 years and it’s one of my go to tools.

That's really helpful, thanks

I've had the property owner data be wrong three times now. Having said that I'll still use it. I like the uncluttered interface and I like that it displays all owner info (even if it is wrong :p). I frequently search for new properties as where I live they're constantly being bought and sold so to me it's worth it.

I can’t imagine hunting without OnX now. I use it continuously when I am on public land. Very good tool to have!

I'd like to hear/see more sometime of your approach to using On X in the Appalachian Mountains and what you look for on a map and on the ground in the offseason. I don't see a lot of mountain hunters on youtube!

Definitely worth the money. I hunt several states a year so I have access to all 50 states. It allows me to escout and plan upcoming trips more efficiently. I can go into a piece of property blind and have 5-6 spots to check immediately.
